Hydronic Radiant Floor Heating Systems

Image of Vitodens 200 Cut Away In-the-floor hydronic heating circulates heated water through coils of tubing that warm the floor to about 85 degrees F. This system provides steady heat and no drafts—a real improvement over conventional forced air heating systems. Hydronic systems reduce the cost of heating by as much as 30 percent compared to forced air systems, because much less heat is wasted. Instead of radiating heat into the air, hydronic heating radiates heats directly to the objects within your home, conserving heat in the process. In addition to conserving heat, hydronic heating systems require much less maintenance than do forced air heating systems. And hydronic heating systems are flexible: they can be used in both new homes and remodels.

Hydronic heating systems have many health benefits, including:

  • No circulation of dirty air
  • Ignition system is separate from air systems (no carbon monoxide)
  • Quieter
  • Less dry air, less dust
  • Allergens, dander, and dust won't be blown around or circulated throughout your home

Hydronic heating systems also have cost advantages, including:

  • Less heat loss. Only objects are heated, not the air, so less heat is wasted.
  • Room-by-room control. There is no need to heat rooms that are not being used.
  • Efficiency. Hydronic heating is 10 to 30% more efficient than traditional forced air systems.
  • Lots of hot water. With the addition of a hot water maker to the system, an almost endless supply of hot water is available for high-demand applications such as multiple-head showers and large whirlpool tubs.

At Nu-Way, we stock a full-line of Honeywell hydronic heating system controls as well as circulating pumps, zone valves, fittings, and piping. We also have many other solutions for your radiant heating needs, such as our lightweight concrete systems for garages and basements; our heat transfer plate system, which is installed under subfloors where existing floors cannot be removed; and our ice and snow removal systems, which are great for sidewalks and driveways.

Other Hydronic Heating Systems

At Nu-Way, we can introduce you to other hydronic heating systems — options that use circulating heated water but that do not require in-floor installation — including these:

  • Boiler Systems – Hot Water Heating Systems
  • Wall-Mounted Boiler – Wall Mounted Boiler Systems
  • Cast Iron Boiler Systems – Home Cast Iron Boiler Systems
  • Baseboard Radiant Systems – Home Baseboard Heating Options

Whole House Humidifier

Image of Whole House Humidifier With central heating, people are confined indoors with unnaturally dry air for many months each year. Home Furnace Humidifiers help to keep indoor moisture levels at a compfortable level. Well maintained indoor humidity levels are a benefit to your respitory system.

Whole-house humidifiers function by spraying moisture into the furnace duct system, reducing the harsh, dry air that can make it hard to breathe. And whole-house humidifiers use water mist instead of hot steam, which keeps the entire house at the desired humidity level without wasting too much water. Come into our showrooms and we can give you a better understanding on how to buy a humidifier.

  • Lobb Humidifiers
  • General Aire Humidifiers
